Yes, Virginia. There is a filter in your projector. If it stays clogged your projector will eventually overheat. It's a good idea to clean this filter every once in awhile. It is small, flat, black and located right beneath the lens. (See picture below.) Just pull it straight out toward you. You can clean it by blowing it with air, tapping it against a waste basket, or by rinsing it with water. If you rinse it, be sure it is completely dry before putting it back.
